How it works

Everything you need to hit an exact size

Whether you're squeezing a photo under an upload limit or setting a passport size to the millimetre, ResizePing keeps it fast, honest, and private.

  • Exact size, every time

Hit an exact file size like “under 100 KB” or “under 1 MB.” We search quality and step down dimensions when a target is tight — so we actually hit small sizes quality-only apps can't. Impossible target? The smallest honest result, never a fake or an endless spinner.

  • Two clear jobs

Target a file SIZE, or target exact DIMENSIONS — kept clear instead of blurred together. Set pixels, percent, or a print size, and switch modes in a tap.

  • See it before you run

A live projected output size for every photo, shown before you commit — so there are no surprises when the job finishes.

  • Batch without the mess

Resize many photos at once with per-item progress you can cancel — no silent partial failures. Up to five per run for free, unlimited with Pro.

  • Print sizes built in

Passport, form, and document sizes in mm, cm, or inch plus DPI — first-class, not an afterthought. JPG, PNG, and WEBP output.

  • Every resize, remembered

A real history of each job: before → after size, the settings used, and one-tap re-run. Searchable and filterable — no other resizer does this well.

  • Private by default

Images are processed 100% on your device and are never uploaded. Input uses the Android Photo Picker — no storage permission — and GPS is stripped from metadata unless you choose to keep it.

  • One-time Pro

ResizePing Pro is a one-time purchase — no subscription. It removes the banner ad, unlocks unlimited batch, and adds high-quality WEBP and advanced export controls.

How it works

From your photos to an exact size in a couple of taps — everything on your device.

  1. 1

    Select your photos

Tap Select photos — one or many. ResizePing uses the Android Photo Picker, so it never needs a storage permission and never sees your whole library.

  2. 2

Pick a mode or a preset

Target a file size or exact dimensions, or tap a quick preset — 100 KB, under 1 MB, 1080px wide, or passport 35×45mm. Print units in mm, cm, or inch plus DPI are built in.

  3. 3

    See the projected size

ResizePing shows the projected output size for each photo before you run — so you know what you'll get before you commit.

  4. 4

    Run, then share or save

Run the job with per-item progress you can cancel, then share the result or open it in your gallery. Every resize is saved to a searchable history you can re-run in one tap.

Private by design

Your photos belong to you. Here is exactly what ResizePing does and does not do.

  • Your photos never leave your device

Every resize and compression happens on your device. Images are never uploaded to PlannedPing or anyone else — there is no server-side processing and no cloud.

  • No storage permission

You choose photos through the Android Photo Picker, so ResizePing only ever sees the images you pick — it never asks for access to your whole photo library or device storage.

  • GPS stripped by default

When ResizePing writes a resized image, it strips the GPS location from the photo's metadata by default. You can choose to keep it, but the private default is on.

  • No account, no sign-in

There is no ResizePing account or registration. The app works the moment you install it, with no profile and no data linked to your identity.

  • Content-free diagnostics

ResizePing includes Firebase Crashlytics (crash and performance diagnostics) and Firebase Analytics (usage). Both are content-free and not linked to you — they never include your photos or their contents. See the privacy policy for the full disclosure.

Frequently asked questions

How do I hit an exact file size, like under 100 KB?
Choose Target size mode, enter your limit (or tap a preset such as 100 KB or under 1 MB), and run. ResizePing searches image quality and, when a target is too tight for quality alone, steps the dimensions down too — so it hits small targets that quality-only apps physically can't. If a size is impossible, you get the smallest honest result, never a fake or an endless spinner.
What's the difference between size and dimensions?
They're two separate jobs. Target SIZE hits an exact file weight in KB or MB. Target DIMENSIONS sets the pixels, a percentage, or a print size in mm, cm, or inch plus DPI. ResizePing keeps the two clearly apart so you always know which you're setting.
How many photos can I resize at once?
Free lets you resize a single photo or a batch of up to five photos per run, with per-item progress you can cancel. ResizePing Pro unlocks unlimited batch.
Does it support print and passport sizes?
Yes. Print units — mm, cm, and inch plus DPI — are built in, with presets for passport, form, and document photos. Output can be JPG, PNG, or WEBP.
Where are my resized photos saved?
Resized images save to Pictures/ResizePing, or to a folder you choose. You can also share the result straight from the app after a job finishes.
What is the History and how does re-run work?
Every resize is recorded in a searchable, filterable history: the before → after size and the exact settings used. Tap any entry to re-run the same settings in one tap. ResizePing stores this job metadata only — it does not keep a second copy of your image.
Is ResizePing Pro a subscription?
No. ResizePing Pro is a one-time purchase — no subscription. It removes the banner ad, unlocks unlimited batch, and adds high-quality WEBP and advanced export controls. Purchases are handled by Google Play, and you can restore them anytime.
Are my photos uploaded anywhere?
No. All image processing happens 100% on your device and your photos are never uploaded. Input uses the Android Photo Picker (no storage permission), and GPS location is stripped from metadata by default. The internet is used only for the banner ad and content-free Firebase diagnostics and analytics — never to send your photos.
Is there an iPhone version?
ResizePing is available on Google Play for Android today. An iPhone version is coming soon to the App Store — the App Store buttons on this site will go live when it's published.
